33년 경찰 경력 내세워…“안심구청장 누구입니까”

“안심구청장,년경찰경력내세워안심구청장누구입니까 진짜 일꾼 누구입니까.” 10·11 서울 강서구청장 보궐선거를 사흘 남겨둔 지난 8일 오후 2시, 진교훈 더불어민주당 후보는 등촌사거리에서 유세 차량에 올라 “안심하고 안전하게 살 수 있는 강서를 반드시 만들겠다”면서 이렇게 외쳤다.
진 후보는 경찰청 차장 출신으로서의 자신의 강점으로 치안 행정을 강조한 것이다. 특히 그는 ‘19년 강서 사람, 33년 행정 전문가’를 내세우며 민심을 파고들었다.
유세 차량에선 “싹 다 갈아엎어 주세요. 기호 1번 진교훈”이라는 가사의 트로트 노래가 흘러나왔다. 진 후보 캠프의 관계자들은 ‘처가에는 고속도로, 국민에겐 핵 오염수’ ‘구민 혈세 40억! 선거비용 책임져라’라는 문구가 적힌 피켓을 들고 “1번 뽑아요. 진교훈, 진교훈, 진교훈”을 외쳤다. 정권심판론을 전면에 내세운 민주당의 선거운동 기조가 현장에서도 이어졌다.
